Pros:

  • portable
  • lots of free/low cost apps
  • doesn't look different
  • easy to use
  • easy to set up
  • easy to allow students to use independently
  • access to the internet, when wi-fi is present (iPod Touch Only)
  • lots of music, videos available for free/cheap to watch/listen to
  • rechargeable

Cons:

  • easy to delete items
    • iOS 4.2 allows to turn off delete apps (see Restrictions)
  • can be difficult to access, especially if you have fine motor issues
  • need to be able to use multiple fingers together to access advanced gestures (twist, etc...)

  • speaker is soft, but you can buy a case
